Vision screening for maculopathies

We have designed a simple, cost-effective vision task that can detect macular dysfunction. We are evaluating its potential for use as a screening tool to detect macular diseases including AMD and Plaquenil associated macular toxicity. If the screener proves to be an effective tool for maculopathy detection, it could become a commercial product that could be marketed as a web-based module or created as an application for use with mobile tablet devices in community based settings.
